Hey everyone,
First of all, let me say thank you to everyone who has downloaded the 29plans app! What started out as a youth group initiative grew into more than we imagined with over 10,000 downloads across platforms! A team of volunteers has contributed to the content of 29plans for a number of years, and without them we couldn’t have done anything. We also had the support of a non-profit who funded the development of the app which launched a few years ago.
To get to the point — We will be shutting down the 29plans app.
Why? Our current development partnership doesn’t offer features we’d like to offer. Quite frankly the cost isn’t worth the limited functionality and we don’t have time to figure out a seamless transition. We hope to pursue other development and funding options to relaunch an app again in the future.
When? Any day now. Our monthly renewal fee is coming due, and we don’t intend to renew.
What about the website and social media? We will continue to feed content as usual to the website and social media accounts throughout 2018. During the next six months, we will be dreaming about what things will look like in 2019 and beyond!
So how can I continue the reading plan? Make sure to follow us on Twitter or Facebook to get morning notifications that link directly to the 29plans.com website (which is mobile-friendly). Or go old-school and print the reading plan from here: http://29plans.com/wp-content/uploads/29plansGuide.pdf
